Dear Holy Cross Family,

I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all alumni, parents, and friends who attended the 2012 Gold and Blue Gala Celebrating Our Generations. Today more than half of our young men are students of legacy having followed a great grandfather, grandfather, or father to Holy Cross. Thanks also to everyone who generously donated their time, talent, and gifts to make this year’s Gala another tremendous success. Be sure to save the date for next year’s Gala on April 20, 2013 and join classmates, family, and friends in support of our ongoing commitment to excellence in education.

Construction of our new cafeteria is currently underway, and completion is anticipated for the fall semester 2012. I will keep you up to date on its progress in coming months.

Alumni Spotlight

 

Congratulations to Casey Hunnicutt ’05 who was recently elected to the office of St. Bernard Parish Councilman representing District D. He received 61% of the vote in the run-off election on November 19th, and will be sworn into office on January 10, 2012.

Three Holy Cross Wrestlers Place at Nationals!

Congratulations to Coach T.J. Miller & the HC Wrestling Team on their latest accomplishment!

The Iowa National Championships were held on the weekend of April 2, 2011, and three HC wrestlers placed in the tournament. Two HC wrestlers also achieved All-American status.

Junior Nick Michael was named an All American for placing sixth at Nationals. Eighth Grader George Benoit was also named All American for his sixth place finish in the Schoolboy division. Senior Stephen Kleamenakis placed in the top 20 in the nation.
